Sebastians On the Beach

This year, one of Tortola's oldest hotels will celebrate its 50th birthday. Sebastian's in Little Apple Bay was started in 1959 as a restaurant and four room guesthouse by gourmet chef Kathy Sebastian of St. Thomas. Following a few shifts in ownership, Sebastian's has now been under the management of Uschi Mikoleiczik for the last 31 years. It continues to be a staple in the community for visitors and locals to find great food and rooms at reasonable prices.
Sebastian's is also well known for its own blend of rum, which you are free to sample after your meal at dinner, or perhaps even at breakfast in your French Toast! Sunday breakfast is a popular gathering time for local residents, where they catch up on weekly events over eggs, pancakes and mimosas.
Lunchtime features favorites like rotis, burgers, sandwiches and salads. Check the chalkboard along the road for the nightly specials - a different soup, fish and entrée are offered daily. The dinner menu is particularly unique, as you can find a wide variety of dishes including local seafood as well as creative vegetarian fare. The catch of the day can be prepared in a choice of seasonings, or splurge on lobster or filet mignon. To satisfy an after dinner sweet tooth, try a mudslide, and the chocolate concoction will surely hit the spot.
The waterfront restaurant is perfect for a lunch while you watch the surfers in Apple Bay or for a romantic evening out. Every Sunday evening, local fungi group 4 Strong serenades diners looking to dance under the star-filled sky.
