Oliver Brings Laughs to the BVI

Famous for his television series Oliver at Large, Oliver Samuels has become a well-known name in Caribbean comedy, both at home and abroad. Featuring an alter-ego also named Oliver, the series included a sidekick Maffi and led to several spin-offs featuring the Oliver character.
"Sheep in Wolf's Clothing" is a family-friendly play following the posh upper class Brown household. Mr. Brown (Oliver) must face his wife's dream of taking in a foster child, who shatters the comfortable household Mr. Brown has created for his family.
The play tackles the issue of social classes and the struggle between poor and privileged, with lessons to learn amongst the laughter. A slow motion fight sequence, a Bollywood dance number and Mr. Brown adamantly maintaining that "a leopard never changes his stripes" are among the comedy's many humorour scenes.
Sharee McDonald-Russell co-stars as the social worker socialite Mrs. Brown, Camille Davis plays the Browns' daughter and Courtney Wilson portrays the ex-gangster, reform school dropout foster child, CP.
The show will begin Thursday, July 9 at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for $25 beforehand at Shell Botanic Gas Station, VI Motors, East End, Dollar Rent-a-Car and LSL Bakery on Virgin Gorda.
